[Workshop] Investigating Insider Threats

This hands-on workshop aims to give investigators experience in identifying unauthorized access and modification of sensitive files. In particular, whether or not an account on their network was used to create and modify invoices in order to redirect payments to the user’s bank account.

We will release a new case file on February 20 with a brief on the situation. Investigators will have one week to review the case and submit a report. On February 27, Lee Sult and Mike Wilkinson will host a webinar to guide participants through how they would tackle the case and answer questions. We will open a support email address for the week of the workshop for any questions or issues.

This case is designed to be as realistic as possible. Please do not post anything about your investigation publicly until February 27 so as not to spoil the learning opportunity for others.
