Michael leads the training team at Sleuth Kit Labs. The team is dedicated to helping clients investigate and recover from IT security incidents on a daily basis.

Michael has over twenty years’ experience in the IT industry and has been conducting digital investigations since joining the NSW Police State Electronic Evidence Branch in 2003, where he lead a team of civilians in one of the worlds largest digital forensic labs. Since moving on from Law Enforcement Michael has led DFIR teams in Asia, Europe and the Americas. He has been a regular speaker at conferences including CEIC, DFRWS, PFIC, HTCIA and AusCERT.

Michael has also been involved in the development and teaching of several Graduate programs in Digital Forensics and Incident Response, including for the University of South Australia, University of NSW (Aus), Macquarie University (Aus) and Champlain College (USA) and has also taught at Blackhat.
